'The Knitted Bible' Expedition.

Year 2 had the opportuinity to visit 'The Knitted Bible' expedition, at Evesham Methodist Church. 
We had a wonderful time interacting with the story exhibits, and listening to the stories retold. 

 

Roly-Poly Birds

In literacy we have been learning to follow and write our own instructions.  On Monday we had to follow instructions to make a roly-poly bird from Roald Dahl's 'The Twits'.  We tried really hard to work on our own and make some very bright and colourful birds.

Sunflowers

We have really enjoyed learning about Vincent van Gogh and tried to re-create his painting 'Sunflowers'.  We have some budding artists in Year 2.

Roald Dahl's Writing Hut

Year 2 have found out so much about Roald Dahl's life and how he used to lock himself away in his writing hut so that he could write in peace for hours.  Our role play area is his writing hut and we really enjoy going in there to read.

Quentin Blake Paintings

As part of our 'Famous Faces' topic we have been reading lots of stories by Roald Dahl and decided to paint some of his characters in the style of Quentin Blake.
