Science Week
Last week we had a fun science week learning about plants and animals in their local habitats. At the beginning of the week we looked at what all living thjngs need in order to survive and went on a treasure hunt to find objects that were 'living', 'not living' and 'once living'. While doing this we also talked about the differences and similarities between plants and animals. We enjoyed going on a mini beast hunt and looking at what the forest area provides for these creatures. We learnt new vocabulary such as, 'consumer', 'producer', 'herbivore', 'carnivore' and 'omnivore' as we found out about food chains.

Year 2 had yet another great day at the farm learning about the plants and crops that grow there. We also did pond-dipping and found lots of little organisms that live in the pond.

Vincent Van Gogh
Vincent Van Gogh is a famous painter. In his life time he only sold one painting out of the hundreds he produced. Now his paintings sell for millions. We looked at one of his most famous paintings ,Sunflowers then drew and painted our own version. They look amazing!
